Naturally Connecting

We're Going to Connect Naturally!

Increasingly, we have noticed that coaches, trainers, mentors, teachers, and other change-makers are driven by a deep desire to help people move forward and grow. At the same time, they often do this work alone or within a relatively small circle: from their own practice, organisation, or network.

And yet, the mission that drives them is often much bigger.

A better world. Preventive health for everyone. Greater balance with nature. Less loneliness. Meaningful and sustainable organisations. Stronger human connection.

In conversations with participants from our previous expeditions, we discovered that many of these aspirations are remarkably similar. Not because everyone does the same work, but because beneath the differences there is often a shared intention.

This insight became even stronger during the Taking Our Lead from the Wild expedition in 2025 with Alan McSmith. When we asked participants what they had taken away from the experience, it became clear that everyone had lived a unique story. A story shaped by personal experiences, beliefs, life stage, and personal development.

And yet, there was also something that connected us.

Walking in nature, Alan's stories and insights, and the conversations we shared reminded us that we are indeed Human Animals: part of a larger whole, no matter how different we may be from one another.

So when it became clear that Alan would return to the Netherlands in 2026 as part of his Conversation Tour Europe 2026, our first response was immediate: yes.

But we wanted to do more than simply repeat a successful format.

Together with Jan Willem Leidekker and Alan, we explored the question that now lies before us. That question led us to this year's theme:

Connecting Naturally.

What happens when people with a similar mission do more than simply meet each other and begin to truly connect? What emerges when the mission becomes greater than the ego? When the movement becomes more important than one's own circle of influence?

On June 17, we will explore these questions together.

We will begin close to the source: in the natural surroundings of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. From there, we will explore what connecting naturally means for ourselves, for the people around us, and ultimately for the world we live in.

Connecting through experience.

I believe there are still one or two places available. If you would like to join us, feel free to send me a direct message for more information.
